Abstract
Recent development work on various aspects of the generation of radioactive ion beams at Louvain-la-Neuve is reported. The performances of CYCLONE44, the new isochronous cyclotron designed for the combined acceleration and isobaric separation of RIB at low energy are discussed. The results obtained with a new target dedicated to the production of /sup 15/O, and able to stand 9 kW of 30 MeV proton beam power are presented. The present status of the research and development efforts aiming at the acceleration of an intense /sup 7/Be beam is given.
