Abstract
In the development of rapid and portable biosensors, the sample preparation and processing are as challenging as the signal transduction. In this context, paper-based devices are good candidates to replace bulky instrumentation thanks to the advantageous properties of paper and the ease of microfluidic patterning. This poster reviews the properties and combinations of microfluidic paper-based devices to achieve innovative sampling tools, from the existing covid self-tests to new design.
