Abstract
Thua Thien Hue province has a high percentage of coastal sandy land. Cultivation on the area is difficult due to infertile soil, poor irrigation and less concerned pests and diseases. In the framework of research collaboration between Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, and Université catholique Louvain la Neuve and Faculty of Agriculture Gembloux (PIC), we have produced positive impacts on improving crop yields (study on soil, fertilizer and plant protection). In this report, we re-assess the plant protection impacts in sandy soil areas of Thua Thien Hue province from 2004-2008.
