CETA – The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement negotiated between Canada, the European Union and its 28 Member States, still awaiting ratification – deals with environmental law, even if it cannot be categorized as an environmental treaty. The proposed contribution explores some of CETA's possible impacts on EU environmental law: the specific chapter on Trade & Environment, Regulatory Cooperation, Investment. It demonstrates that CETA is not yet fully mature in its approach to contemporary environmental law issues.
