Abstract
(en) The first wave of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was particularly dramatic for kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) around the world.1 A recent European registry study showed 28-day mortality and intensive care unit (ICU) admission rates at 22% and 21%, respectively.2 In the United States, a multicenter cohort study revealed a 28-day mortality rate at 18%.3 Fortunately, patients from our tertiary KT center were less impacted with mortality and ICU admission rates at 11% and 11%, respectively.
