Abstract
(en) Glucoretic drugs from the gliflozines family are oral inhibitors of renal sodium-glucose transport (SGLT2 carrier). They decrease blood glucose by lowering the glucosuric threshold, thereby increasing glucosuria. They exert their metabolic effects independent of insulin. SGLT2 inhibitors also lower body weight and blood pressure
