Abstract
Bulk MoS2 (or WS2) were mechanically mixed with noble metal supported phases (PtS/gamma-Al2O3; Rh2S3/gamma-Al2O3 and PdS/gamma-Al2O3. Using these non conventional hydrotreating catalysts, we showed that both, hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophene and hydrogenation (HYD) of cyclohexene, activities were increased. In all the range of composition of the mixed solids a synergy was obtained.
