- Abstract
- Illustrates recent research trends in modelling, adaptive estimation and adaptive control of bioreactors and biotechnological plants with a typical case-study: the biomethanization process. Observers of the main biological variables (namely the biomass and the substrate concentrations) and adaptive controllers are presented. In each case the algorithms stability is analyzed and real-life or simulation results are shown.
