Abstract
(en) Being a parent with and without the other : paradoxical demands in our contemporary society Starting out from two seemingly unconnected illustrations, the author seeks to think out the effects of social change on individuals’ attitudes towards parenthood. Claiming autonomy, creating and using a « co-parental » network around the child : the aim is to measure the clinical advantages to be accrued in paying attention to the terms of encounter or non-encounter between parents’ creativity and their environment. Finally, the author gets to the stage of paraphrasing D.W. Winnicott by declaring that « there is no such a thing as a parent ! »
