- Abstract
- The authors, based on their clinical experience and on a bibliographic review about the eating disorders, propose a new classification of psychogenic vomiting. Differenciating functional vomiting into sociogenic, somatogenic and psychogenic, this nosography thus replaces and develops psychogenic vomiting in the global context of fonctional vomiting. Psychogenic vomiting is not just an exclusion of organic etiology, it has psycho(patho)logic or physio(patho)logic determinants of its own, thus permitting diagnosis and classification.
