Abstract
(en) The purpose of this article is to clarify the concept of generosity applied to social security systems. We distinguish among three types of generosity with the possibility of trade-offs. There is the generosity towards early retirement, the overall generosity of an old age system, and the generosity towards retirees with low entitlements.
