Cet article examine les différents types de hochets en argile dans l'ancienne Syrie, le Levant et en Mésopotamie entre le troisième et le premier millénaire avant notre ère. Une attention particulière sera consacrée aux trois hochets en argile des fouilles archéologiques de Tell Tweini (KULeuven), qui sont publiés et analysés ici.
