Abstract
Is it possible to link the fortunes of some of the families of the Etruscan elites of Roman Etruria to the involvement in negotiations related to luxury goods? This paper aims to integrate archaeological, epigraphic and literary sources to reconstruct the networks of clientship, friendship, and kinship that were reasonably at the core of such businesses, often invisible at an archaeological level.
