lt took twenty years, between 1969 and 1989, for francophone researchers to give F. W. J. Schelling's reception a monographie and thematic grounding capable of supporting a decisive élan of translation and dissemination. When, in the 1960s, one considered studying Schelling in French, one had to refer themselves to the enthusiastic though solitary introductions of Vladimir Jankélévitch (1933) or, later Claude Bruaire (1970). Also available were the works of historians of philosophy like Emile Bréhier (1912), and the secondhand accounts of neighboring explorers such as Xavier Léon (1902), Eugène Susini (1942), or Roger Ayrault (1961). lnevitably, one had to turn to German specialists like Hermann Zeltner (1954a, 19546), Horst Fuhrmans (1940, 1954), and Walter Schulz (1955), or ltalian specialists like Guiseppe Semerari (1958) and Adriano Bausola (1965).1 The collective memory was, firstly, oriented towards the philosophy of religions with the theologian Paul Tillich, towards numerous exchanges with Christian mysticism and illuminism with Ernst Benz (1955) and Horn Friedemann (1954) as well as Gertrud Brunender (1958), towards even Christianity's reception of Gnosticism with Ernst Bloch (1968) or Kabbalism withJürgen Habermas (1954). From Ludwig Feuerbach to Martin Heidegger, there was no lack of returns respect, another symbolic landmark of the state of francophone research up until that date is the joint convention of the Fichtean and Schellingian societies, held at Brussels in 2009, organized by Jean-Christophe Goddard, and entitled "Fichte and Schelling: Idealism Under Debate." The Young Francophone Schellingians answered the call, notably Patrick Cerutti (2006)5 and Charles Théret (2013), but also researchers from neighboring fields of philosophy: Laurent Guyot, Guillaume Lejeune, Jean-François Goubet, and Delia Popa.
