Abstract
The application of confocal Raman and FT-Raman in the study of zeolite synthesis and structural characterisation of zeolite framework vibrations, zeolite synthesis with structure directing agents and adsorption on zeolites is illustrated by a number of examples, such as in ZSM-5 synthesis, the tetrapropyliantnonium ion (TPA(+)), in EMT synthesis the Na-18-Crown-6 that can direct hypo- (and hyper-)cage formation, Can Li and co-workers performed zeolite X synthesis studies and FAU (X,Y), MFI, MOR and BETA characterization with UV-Raman. The FT-Raman properties of zeolite-entrapped [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) and [Mn(bpy)(2)](2+)-NaY catalysts are also reviewed.
