Abstract
Résumé de la session (l'autre communication a été donnée par Sébastien Moureau) Among the prominent figures in alchemy, Hermes Trismegistus holds a special place due to the legend portraying him as the first alchemist. Consequently, numerous alchemical treatises have been attributed to him, both in Arabic and in Latin. The presentation will be twofold. The first part will focus on the corpora of Arabic and Latin alchemical texts attributed to Hermes, providing an inventory of the texts and their witnesses, both edited and unedited. The second part will examine the transmission phase of Arabic Hermetic alchemical texts to the Latin world, providing the identification of the previously unknown Arabic original of a Latin text attributed to Hermes.
