- Abstract
- (en) The general project of my thesis is to show that capitalism is compatible with a redesigned and consistent government policy as well as with an art of living, which places interiority at the heart of human life. First, I will start with developing an analysis of capitalism based on the work of Friedrich von Hayek. In that framework, I will study two aspects of his thought. Beginning with a description of the "catallaxy" concept as a combination of the private law institution and the market economy, I will then review the various arguments put forward by Hayek to justify the superiority of the “catallaxy” ethics over all other types of institutions. Finally, I will display, from these various justifications, the underlying concept of the human being as a free but limited person. Secondly, I will deepen the anthropological analysis through the use of a phenomenology from “henryian” inspiration. I will put forward a "meta-anthropology" as the very foundation of anthropology and Hayek “catallaxy”. In this context, I will describe an inner, hidden and imperceptible dimension of human existence. Thirdly, I will show how the phenomenological analysis can provide a basis for developing an ethics which requires the completion of the catallaxy through the consistent action of public authorities. These are then redefined in the form of three main and precisely articulated functions: the "déclanisation" (the deconstruction of a tribal type of society), the help to the poorest layers of society and the public support to self-knowledge.
