Abstract
(en) This paper describes shortly the research activities conducted in the field of electrical engineering at the center for research in mechatronics of the Catholic University of Louvain. An important part of the research activities are found on a multiphysic approach for modeling, designing and optimizing electromechanical actuators for a load range of applications going from aerospace actuation systems to biomedical robotics. Another part of the research activities deals with the use of electrical energy in non conventional generator systems in particular renewable energy sources.
