Abstract
The problem of regulating intermediate metabolites (acetate, propionate and hydrogen) in anaerobic digestion processes is considered. The problem is solved by using a feedback linearising technique applied to a reduced order model obtained from pseudo-steady-state approximations. It is illustrated with an experimental application to an anaerobic digestion pilot plant.
