(en) Can we combine theatrical practices and assessment? Thanks to the CEFR which revolutionizes the way we assess, emphasising competences rather than the lack of them (transition from top-down assessment to bottom-up evaluation), we have established a list of criteria that highlights the importance of taking the body into account in successful language communication in the target language. The composition of a specific grid, available for different levels, from A1 to C1, enables both teacher and learner to identify speaking skills quickly. The originality of this tool lies in the fact that right from the start a new space is given over to the body, often entirely lacking in the teaching of languages, gradually integrating speech, while taking into account the specificity of the learner, which we call “being”. With this as a base-line, each assessor is free to change the criteria presented, to adapt and integrate them to his or her teaching context and audience.
