Abstract
(en) Seeking coherence, ’Métaphysique et idée de Dieu’ looks at the major themes in which theology encounters philosophy: questions such as the absolute or the infinite; time and being; subjectivity and the status of the concept. These major themes underlie the history of Christianity. Pannenberg’s critical debate with Heidegger’s thesis on the end of metaphysics provides the backdrop for an approach whose aim is to renew the metaphysical interrogation and clarify the idea of God, both in philosophy and theology. The last chapter assembles some important conclusions of a discussion with ’process philosophy’. Pannenberg develops the essential arguments that found the link between God and an ontology open to an ultimate accomplishment.
