- Partant du succès rencontré durant plusieurs décennies par les romans scouts de la collection "Signe de piste", cette étude tente d'expliquer l'engouement des lecteurs pour ce type de production. Se basant sur un corpus d'une vingtaine de titres (de Serge Dalens, Jean-Louis Foncine, X.B. Leprince, Jean Valbert et Maurice Vauthier), elle établit des liens entre l'analyse interne des romans et leur réception, considérée dans sa double dimension psychique et sociale. Elle montre que l'écho de ces ouvrages auprès de nombreux lecteurs tient à la rencontre entre l'imaginaire déployé dans le texte et les particularités du contexte socio-historique de réception d'une part, les attentes spécifiques du lecteur adolescent d'autre part. Elle s'attache notamment à analyser la construction d'une dynamique initiatique dans laquelle les romans sont capables d'entraîner le lecteur, qui est ainsi invité à adopter un rapport au monde renouvelé. / On the basis of the success met during several decades by the boy-scouts' novels of the collection Signe de piste , this study tries to explain the passion of the readers for this type of production. Basing itself on a corpus of a score of titles (of Serge Dalens, Jean-Louis Foncine, X.B. Leprince, Jean Valbert and Maurice Vauthier), it establishes bonds between the internal analysis of the novels and their reception, considered in their double dimension psychic and social. It shows that the echo of these works is due to the meeting between the imaginary one deployed in the text and the characteristics of the context socio-history of reception on the one hand, specific waitings of the adolescent reader on the other hand. It in particular sticks to analyze construction of an initiatory dynamics in which the novels are able to involve the reader, who is thus invited to adopt a renewed vision of the world.
