Abstract
A new concept of X-ray irradiator for low-density products on pallets is proposed. Monte Carlo simulations are applied to predict the performance of this system. The Monte Carlo predictions reveal in good agreement with experimental data obtained using products of different densities. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
