- (en) - FRS-FNRS FRESH application (2019) - In the current situation of major immigration issues, the question of housing arises more than ever. From a purely architectural perspective, this research focuses on the adaptation of non-native housing methods to native housing types. By examining the case of the installation and use of the Moroccan living room in traditional Brussels houses and those of the western livings in the riads of Marrakech, it aims to describe, explain and highlight the architectural adaptations and inventions, both formal and functional, that result from the meeting and hybridisation of initially foreign dwelling modes and housing types.
