Abstract
(en) This book brings together recent empirical work carried out in the various French-speaking countries on the teaching practices, abilities and difficulties of pupils and students in reading, from primary to university, by associating different dimensions. It has a curriculum dimension in its very structure, since it considers all compulsory schooling, from primary to secondary school / CEGEP / Secondary II, within several articles. It also offers a vision of the teaching of reading that is not limited to literary reading, but also extends to that of informative texts since, beyond their specificities, both ask for understanding process and common components. Finally, the book proposes international comparisons between the four French-speaking countries that have integrated the skills-based approach into their curricula: Belgium, France, Quebec and Switzerland.
