- Abstract
- Brown tumour is a rare complication of primary or secondary hyperparathyroidism. We here report on a 57 year-old male patient on chronic haemodialysis for eight years who develop a brown tumour localised in the seventh right rib, in a context of uncontrolled secondary hyperparathyroidism and poor compliance to phosphate binders. A diagnosis of brown tumour is worth to be early recognised by clinicians in order to avoid unnecessary investigations.
