Numerous studies have highlighted the efficacy of Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs) for treating anxiety and depressive symptomatology in the general population. While adolescents with behavior disorders could benefit from this type of intervention, little is known about the relevance of MBIs in clinical and young populations. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to investigate the feasibility and the efficacy of a MBI on adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or conduct disorder. Three categories of variables were measured: attentional capacities, externalized symptoms and internalized symptoms. Overall, the results indicated that MBIs could have a positive effect on attention. However, the positive effects observed for externalizing and internalizing symptoms appear to be similar to those obtained through institutional care or active control groups. Further research is needed to clarify the psychological benefits of MBIs among adolescents with behavior disorders.
