"Reporting on quantities is of particular relevance in business discourse. Quantities may be reported in various ways: using numbers (e.g. 1,000), combinations of approximators and numbers (e.g. around 200) or expressions denoting quantities that do not contain numbers (e.g. a number of, almost all). This paper compares the linguistic devices that are used to express quantity approximation in a number of business genres [...]"
