Abstract
The Third International Conference on Food and Agriculture in an Urbanizing Society was organized by the FAO and the Federal University of Porto Alegre. I first explored the notion of food microenvironment and how it relates to food behavior. I next compared several food microenvironment in Brussels, Belgium, including conventional and alternative ones. As many alternative food microenvironment foster healthy behavior, I suggest that the way these spaces host "eaters" through accommodation is a key element for improving health food behavior by the mean of improving the social inclusion of these food spaces.
