Abstract
The ‘corpus’ created by the Centre de recherche Valibel—Discourse & Variation is one of the largest speech bank of spoken French. As will be explained below, this speech bank is not a homogeneous corpus, tailored for a single purpose, but rather a compilation of corpora, collected with a wide range of linguistic applications in mind and integrated into a database allowing for various kinds of investigations. In this contribution, we give a thorough description of this database, with a special attention for the features that are of interest for research in phonology.
