- Bianca Felicori has been invited by OSA Mendrisio - UNI Mendrisio to give a lecture about her PhD research. In the early 1950s, a distinctive form of student-led university publishing began to emerge within the Regent Street Polytechnic in London, aiming to define a new direction for architecture while distancing itself both from the Festival of Britain styles (1951) and from a British educational system perceived as outdated and obsolete. In 1957, following in the footsteps of "Poly Student" —a student “journal” published until 1951— "Polygon" was founded, a “magazine” born out of the intense artistic and architectural debates of the previous years, including those of the Independent Group and the London County Council. Within the pages of this magazine, the "angry boys" articulated a new architectural style —“Bowellism”— later described by Peter Cook ("Archigram") as a kind of formalism conceived as the expression of contemporary needs and aspirations of younger generations.
