- Abstract
- (en) For four decades, the Congolese households contribute financially to the education and health care of children in their care. The current social policies show greater accountability household consecutive gradual withdrawal of the Congolese government in financing the social sector. The basic services including schooling and children's access to health care becomes less financially accessible to poor households. Conversely, the results do not always satisfactory. Readers will find that inequalities in access to these basic services are no longer necessarily offer often enough, but also the differentiation characteristics of households and children within them. Apart from classical inequalities for boys and urban children in schooling and access to health care, this book reveals other inequalities resulting from the differentiation between the provinces, generations, and family relationship with the Head of household, etc. This study should contribute to policy development and health education more efficient.
