(en) This article starts with a longitudinal literature review of published French-language research in the field of environmental communication (scientific articles, doctoral theses, and books). The authors retrace the emergence of the field and then define a few key terms. After presenting their methodology, they reconstruct the history of environmental communication research in a third section, and use the information to add to the map of today’s existing research. Conclusions are drawn on the current state of this field of inquiry.
