Abstract
Pediatric neurosurgeons are usually involved in the early stages of management of CNS tumors. Once imaging studies are performed, their role is essential in providing a histopathological diagnosis, performing maximal safe resection when indicated and by treating associated manifestations such as hydrocephalus. Advances in molecular biology, targeted therapies, and surgical adjuncts have greatly improved over the last decade and continue to modify neurosurgical decisions and interventions.
