Abstract
Ovarian tissue cryopreservation followed by autotransplantation is an effective way of restoring fertility in cancer patients with premature ovarian failure due to gonadotoxic treatment. This technique is indicated for women who cannot delay anticancer therapy and prepubertal girls. The first part of my thesis was focused on investigating the risk of reseeding cancer cells along with the transplanted tissue in patients with central nervous system tumors. The second part aimed to characterize density and growth of follicles in ovarian tissue from Turner girls whom the ovarian tissue is quickly depleted at a young age.
