After the discussion published by R. BATEMAN (2009), we reply to some of his criticisms and refute the insinuation of authoritarianism. Due to a nomenclatural unsatisfactory situation, on the basis of morphological considerations, and pending additional analysis, we adopt the enlarged genus Anacamptis. However we strongly advocate the separation of Androrchis D.Tyteca & E. Klein from Orchis s.str.
