Abstract
A Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS) study of 1% w/w Pt-AlPON catalysts with different nitrogen contents shows that the surface structure and thermal stability of the AlPON support are not modified after the impregnation process. However, a nitrogen loss is observed, related with the final Pt dispersion, pointing to the possible participation of some nitrogen species, namely PNH2 terminal groups, in the Pt anchoring mechanism.
