Abstract
In October 2023, a group of accounting scholars interested incritical dialogic accounting and accountability (CDAA) gathered inToulouse, France to attend a 2-day conference. Rather thanpresenting papers, the CDAA conference was designed around 3workshops and 4 panel sessions to foster discussion on differenttopics in CDAA research. Looking to develop a collaborativeatmosphere for dialogue and debate among attendees, theobjective was to build their capacity to understand, engage withand perhaps even utilize CDAA in their own research interests. This commentary has been produced by the organizers of thisconference to reflect on its design as a collaborative space, reportback on insights that were developed, and avenues for researchthat were discussed.
