Abstract
Describes a method which combines the advantages of both systems already in use: nonlinear differential equations to allow for the nonlinear characteristics of the diodes, and use of variable topology using a breaker model for the diodes. The numerical simulation can easily and rapidly be carried out by the IBM 370-158 computer. The results are shown to be reliable.
