Abstract
(en) When telling a story, the form given to it through the narration is crucial. It unfolds in particular an axiological dimension, not explicitly, as in a fable, but implicitly, subtly playing on the emotions and feelings of the reader, in order to guide his/her reaction to what is told and to lead him/her to take a stand or even to make a value judgment. The present article examines this aspect in three narratives of murders: that of Ehud in Jdg 3 and those of Joab in 2 Sam 3 and 20. It shows that, although the facts are very similar, the way of telling them tries to induce different reactions in the reader and thus contrasting assessments.
