(en) This brief sketch of the Catholic reception of Karl Barth's theology presents the double modality of a mutelle interaction, dealing, on the one hand, with the Barthian model of a rooted theology that has impressed so many Catholic theologians (1), and on the other hand, with disputed questions, sources of both tight and productive debates between Barth and Catholicism (2). Between grasping and discussion, Barthian theology has left its mark on Catholic thought in the 20th century.
