Abstract
How can new or hybrid forms of work get to be represented in historical social dialogue institutions? The purpose of this paper is to study transformations affecting cross-sectoral social dialogue by exploring a particular aspect: the institutional recognition of enterprises of the social economy. It questions on the one hand, the extent to which social economy enterprises’ federations are constrained by the bipartite model of social dialogue in their quest for recognition by public authorities. On the other hand, it allows to show the threats experienced by social dialogue as decision-making style facing the rise of multiple stakeholders’ claims for representation.
