- Abstract
- Two African stories about women, men and children who decided to live today while inviting tomorrow. These two endless stories reveal practices to guide those who are wondering about the layout of living places. You will first come with me to Morocco, to a village in the Atlas Mountains where the villagers’ mobilization has enabled the State and citizens to come closer. We will eventually go to Mali and visit the achievements of the Amadou Hampâté Bâ Centre and of the inhabitants of the Missira neighborhood – real bare-footed town planners. Last but not least, these stories – real struggles for dignity – lead us on ways of developing partnership methods for a concerted evolution of human settlements.
