Abstract
A model has been developed to calculate the effect of turbulence on a satellite-earth link at centimeter and millimeter wavelength. The present paper describes the problem, points out the difficulties and investigates the effects of the turbulences upon the electrical parameters of a link in the 1 to 100 GHz frequency band. The model yields the effect of the equivalent dielectric constant, the geometrical parameters of the turbulence, the size of the antenna and the operating frequency.
