(en) The project investigates the bonds between emotional competences (EC) and the diabetes in childhood. We study mainly emotional competences as potentially protective personality factors for the health and as predictors of a better management of the disease. We will also seek to know the role of the family characteristics in the development of the EC and the impact of these variables on the management of the chronic disease (glycaemic control and quality of life).
