Abstract
Premiers résultats d'une base de données élaborée à l'UCLouvain, relative à la fauconnerie dans l'iconographie médiévale, du 12e au 16e siècle. Riche de 2550 entrées, elle permet des observations quantitatives sur des données chronologiques, régionales, typologiques, thématiques et techniques. Quelques exemples sont développés, comme le thème du cavalier de mai portant un faucon, très fréquent dans les calendriers illustrés, mais qui n'est pas en rapport avec la saison de chasse réelle, et ressortit plutôt au registre social et codé.
