Abstract
(en) Knowledge and innovation require a favorable environment: a territory - as a local growing place - is part of it. The paper discusses several factors of the territorial development. Firstly systems analysis and bifurcation are detailed in order to present the unpredictable environment of any innovation. Secondly, four factors of the territorial development are explained: the identity anchorage, relationship and network, specific resources and the local strategy. The example of the areonautics in Toulouse (France) is used as an illustration. Some consequaneces for Wallonia are given as a piece of conclusion.
