Abstract
(en) Abstract. So far, only a few scholars have shown any interest in the veterinary texts in Parisinus graecus 2244 (R) [XIVth c.]. It was Anne-Marie Doyen (2006 and 2009) who, after the pioneering work of the Swedish philologist Gudmund Björck (1935), examined the overall structure and some of the Apsyrtos passages in R, five of which show parallels with edited fragments of Hippocrates the veterinarian. The most striking of these, a text on bloodletting and γραστισμός (‘putting out to grass’), is at the centre of the present study. Its content recalls both Hippocrates and Apsyrtos.
