Abstract
Microscopic pathological examination of ileocolonic tissue is of the utmost importance to diagnose and follow up diseases of the lower gastrointestinal tract. Ileocolonoscopy allows endoscopic tissue acquisition via different methods. In this chapter, endoscopic mucosal biopsy sampling is described.
