Abstract
A hydrogen purification membrane is described, comprising a hydrogen permeation-selective, dense metallic foil having a low pressure side and a high pressure side, defining a permeation direction of hydrogen from the high pressure to the low pressure side, wherein the low pressure side of the metallic foil is coated with a polymer coating, the polymer being a hydrophobic polymer with electronegative functional groups, preferably a polytetrafluorethylene coating. The invention further relates to a hydrogen purification device comprising such a purification membrane.
